Sedica Sawez joined the firm in May 2004. Her practice focuses mainly on business transactions, including assisting clients with general business planning, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Ms. Sawez also has experience in commercial litigation, work-outs, creditors' rights and bankruptcy, assisting troubled companies through the reorganization process and advising creditors of their rights through bankruptcy. Ms. Sawez is a graduate of George Mason University (B.A., 1996) and a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law (J.D. 1999). She is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland, the District of Columbia and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Sawez is a member of the American, District of Columbia, Maryland, Baltimore City and Bankruptcy Bar Associations. Ms. Sawez served as an Associate Editor of the Student Editorial Board of the Business Lawyer, and is the co-author of "Toward a Uniform Parent Corporation Liability Standard Under CERCLA" University of Pittsburgh Law Review, Summer 1999.
