Douglas Furlong is a civil litigator with experience representing clients in business disputes, personal injury cases and insurance coverage litigation.  He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in all types of civil litigation.  Mr. Furlong's clients include numerous businesses, large and small, as well as individuals who have been seriously injured and their families.  He has developed a well-deserved reputation for ingenuity and for achieving optimal results as efficiently as possible.

Notable cases include Inphomation, Inc. v. MCI/Worldcom Network Services, Inc., which resulted in a multi-million dollar recovery against MCI arising from its billing practices, as well as numerous wrongful death and serious personal injury cases that have resulted in the recovery of millions of dollars against motor carriers, truck brokers, state and county municipalities, an adult day care center facility and other negligent parties and their insurers.  Mr. Furlong has also successfully defended individuals and businesses that have been accused of negligence, often in situations where they find themselves in an uninsured position.

Mr. Furlong's twenty-plus years as a civil litigator, and his reputation for competence and integrity, have prompted many requests from the courts and fellow attorneys that he act as an impartial mediator of their cases, with an emphasis on complex, multi-party disputes.  Mr. Furlong has successfully mediated hundreds of cases since 1997, and is a court-approved mediator for all types of civil disputes, including business and technology disputes, medical malpractice and other forms of professional malpractice, auto tort, and estate and probate actions.  Mr. Furlong is a frequent lecturer on effective mediation techniques and practices.
