David Wyand focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation. He has represented individuals and businesses in cases involving a wide variety of issues, including commercial disputes, real estate disputes, executive employment contracts, non-competition agreements, director liability, shareholder disputes, and insurance coverage. Mr. Wyand regularly handles litigation in Maryland state and federal courts.
In 2005, Mr. Wyand, along with co-counsel, represented an employee suing for substantial unpaid commissions under the Maryland Wage Payment and Collection Law, in which the employee received a jury verdict in his favor of over a million dollars. The Court later awarded the employee just under a half of a million dollars in attorneys’ fees and costs, along with prejudgment interest of approximately a quarter of a million dollars.
