Matthew S. Wineman joined the Firm’s real estate department in June 2004, and concentrates his practice on residential and commercial real estate and business transactions. His background includes years of experience as corporate counsel to K. Hovnanian Homes, a national home building company, which gives Mr. Wineman a uniquely qualified understanding of the home building and development industry.
Mr. Wineman’s legal capabilities include extensive experience in drafting and negotiating contracts of sale, development agreements, cost sharing agreements, AIA documents, and easements; the acquisition, assemblage, sale and financing of real property; title and survey review; and the entitlement, subdivision and development of land.
Mr. Wineman represents national, regional and local home builders and regional and local developers in a variety of complex residential and commercial transactions, as well as lenders and borrowers in various acquisition and construction loans and related financing issues. In addition, he frequently advises home building companies, real estate developers and other real estate related businesses in general corporate and transactional matters.
