Countering the trend among law firms to greater bureaucracy and narrower focus, in 1987 Benjamin Rosenberg, Robert J. Proutt, H. Eugene Funk, Jr., and Barry C. Greenberg left the security of two of Baltimore's largest and most prestigious law firms to establish Rosenberg Proutt Funk & Greenberg, a new firm that would offer a full range of high-quality legal services in a more personalized setting.

Over the next twenty years, the firm faithfully adhered to its mission, expanding only in response to its clients' needs and only when it found an opportunity that would enhance the array of services that it could offer. The firm's most recent expansion occurred with the addition of Gerard P. Martin and three of his colleagues from Martin, Snyder & Bernstein, P.A. and resulted in our new name, Rosenberg | Martin | Greenberg, LLP.
